GriefShare
Introduction Letter from the DOM
October 6, 2009
Please allow me to make you and your church aware of a wonderful Ministry opportunity…GriefShare. GriefShare is NOT just another program for your church. It is a ministry, a place with direction and purpose where hurting people find healing and hope. GriefShare offers a place where people can bring their hurts and confusion out in the open and not be judged. Those in grief receive Biblical answers for healing. In GriefShare you learn how to walk the journey of grief and be supported along the way.
Currently, The Orchard Community Church has an ongoing GriefShare ministry that meets in a member’s home on Wednesday mornings from 10 AM to Noon. These meetings are open to anyone in the community… however, we do realize that the needs of this community are many and one church alone cannot possibly meet or even be aware of all the hurting people.
With the above in mind, GriefShare leadership is encouraging other churches to get involved in this Ministry by offering a “Boot Camp” training of other lay people to meet the needs of your church. Please see the documents (links below) concerning GriefShare and then pray about your churches response.

Back from Haiti I greet you and the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This is just a note to let you know how much we are grateful for your help support and prayers. Thank you so very much I am so glad God placed you in a position like this. I got back home Saturday about 3 am, everything went well, I give God all the glory. Also I want to thank each and everyone who gave and support the Haiti relief effort by donating something. By going to Haiti I discovered that our needs are greater than expected, the most difficult part is to see people suffer, not only they lost everything, and they also have to deal with not having the most basic of necessities, such as food, shelter and clothing. However, in nature's destruction lie the seeds of hope for the future. I believe this tragedy suffered by the Haitians is an opportunity for we as Christian to shower them with love of God. For God instructs us to "Love Your Neighbor as Your Self Luke 10:2". Again thank you for all the help and support. Blessings in Christ, Sister Marie.
